The fact that they could be delivered at no extra cost to my home was also a plus, given that I had to pay about $140 in freight for a matching dinner table from another store that was out of state.The components arrived in well-protected boxes and were free of scratches or rough surfaces that needed to be sanded out. A pass or two of 150-grit paper wouldn't be a bad idea, though, especially on the rounded edges. To help reduce blotching, I used an off-the-shelf, oil-based wood conditioner before staining, which the parawood soaked up a like a straw: very little of the conditioner needed to be wiped off, but I ru
